As one of the basic ideas of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica is to bring students closer to practical experiences to which they will apply the acquired knowledge on May 28, 2024. 4th year students are accompanied by professor Prof. dr. Almir Alihodžić, professor Assoc. Ph.D. Jasmine Džafić, and assistants Selma Alicković-Trako, B.Sc. visited one of the top institutions on the insurance market - the Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

In Sarajevo, they were warmly welcomed in front of the Insurance Agency by the Director of the Agency, Mrs. Emina Jahić. In an introductory lecture, the director of the Agency presented them with the importance of non-life and life insurance for the entire economic system, the legislative framework, the agency's competences, the importance of presenting domestic insurance statistics on the international level, and other issues of vital importance for the insurance sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is very important to point out that during this visit a formal partnership was proposed between the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica and the Security Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the signing of a memorandum on mutual cooperation. Also, on this occasion, interesting topics and ideas about improving the insurance sector were discussed, both in the context of the legislative framework and in the context of the market framework.

We sincerely hope that this visit will result in a lot of practical work that will benefit the insurance sector in BiH.
