COMPETITION/COMPETITION FOR THE ENROLLMENT OF STUDENTS IN THE FIRST YEAR OF THE III (THIRD) CYCLE OF STUDY, BUSINESS ECONOMICS AT THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025. YEARS (Doctoral studies)
Contest/Competition for the enrollment of students in the first year of the III (third) cycle of studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica (Doctoral studies) in the academic year 2024/2025. year of 02.09.2024. until 30.09.2024. year.
Enrollment of students who will be admitted to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica will take place within the deadline determined by the competent authority of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica.
In the first year in the academic year 2024/2025. candidates are enrolled in accordance with the Student Enrollment Plan in the first year of the III (third) study cycle, Business Economics, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica.
Study of the III (third) cycle of Business Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica with specialist knowledge in narrower scientific fields: Management, Marketing, Finance and Accounting and Auditing is organized for three years (6 semesters) according to the Bologna system 4+1+3. When enrolling, candidates decide on the third mandatory modular subject that is taught in the first semester, depending on the narrower scientific field that the candidate wants to study.
The following have the right to participate in the Contest/Competition:
- citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, foreign citizens and stateless persons with a completed II (second) cycle of studies or the equivalent (academic master's degree) in the appropriate scientific field (master's degree in economics or master's degree in economic sciences) with 360 ECTS or 300 ECTS credits.
- and candidates who completed their previous level of education abroad, and for whom it was determined after the recognition procedure that they have an adequate education (Master of Economics or Master of Economic Sciences) with 360 ECTS or 300 ECTS credits.
The admission and enrollment of students in the first year of studies is carried out by a special commission appointed by the Council of Studies.
Enrollment conditions:
Candidates who have completed the II (second) cycle of studies or the equivalent (academic master's degree) in the appropriate scientific field (master's degree in economics or master's degree in economic sciences) have the right to enroll in doctoral studies.
A candidate for admission must be able to use scientific and professional literature in one of the world's languages, which he proves before admission by certifying that he has passed at least the second level of a foreign language course or has passed a foreign language in the study of the I (first) and/or II (second) cycle study.
Candidates for admission, who obtained the title of Master of Economic Sciences, before the introduction of the Bologna system of three-cycle study in the fields that are relevant to the field from which the doctoral study is organized, can be recognized with the appropriate number of ECTS points and exceptionally recognized 60 (sixty) ECTS points, with the obligation to take two general joint subjects (Econometrics, Contemporary quantitative and qualitative methods in economic research), which are a prerequisite for taking other subjects and fulfilling obligations from other teaching activities. The Master of Economic Sciences is awarded 60 ECTS based on the decision of the Doctoral Study Council, and on the basis of a previously submitted request in which the candidate states the elements of the structure of the doctoral study for which he wishes to use the recognized 60 ECTS (e.g. exemption from taking the third mandatory modular course, exemption from taking two elective courses , acquiring the appropriate number of ECTS for independent scientific and research work).
Foreign citizens apply for the competition under the conditions stipulated in the Statute of the University of Zenica, the Rules for organizing undergraduate, master's and doctoral studies at the University of Zenica and other regulations valid in the field of higher education.
Exceptionally, candidates who completed the previous degree outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina have the right to participate in the Competition even before the process of nostrification of the acquired diploma, i.e. the process of recognition of the acquired education abroad, but they can enroll in the first year after the completion of the process of recognition of the acquired education abroad.
In case of application by a large number of candidates, preference is given to candidates with a higher average grade achieved during the (II) study cycle.
The Faculty reserves the right to organize a knowledge test (entrance exam) for registered candidates, as necessary, which will be decided by the Council of Studies.
The final approval of the Candidate Selection Ranking List and consideration of appeals on that basis is carried out by the competent authority.
The final ranking list and the list of accepted candidates will be published by the Faculty on the notice board and the Faculty's website after they have been verified by the competent authority after the closing of the Competition/Competition.
The Faculty will provide complete information on the place and time of submission of documents for the Contest/Competition on its bulletin board and the Faculty's website.
Candidates must submit the following documents (originals or certified copies) when applying for the Contest/Competition for enrollment in the first year of the III (third) study cycle (doctoral studies):
- biography,
- a diploma and a supplement to the diploma of the II study cycle (for students who completed their studies according to the Bologna system of studies), i.e. a diploma and a certificate of passing the master's study exams (for students who completed their studies in the pre-Bologna study system) or a certificate of completed master's studies with a certificate of passed master's study exams for students whose diploma has not yet been issued,
- the decision on the nostrification/recognition of the diploma (II cycle study) for candidates who obtained previous education outside Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- certificate or certificate of knowledge of a foreign language, in accordance with the provisions of the Competition,
- birth certificate,
- Certificate of Citizenship,
- statement of acceptance of the obligation to pay the costs of the third cycle of study (doctoral study).
Depending on the number of registered candidates, the competent authority of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica will make a Decision on starting the study program in the academic year 2024/2025. year.
