The Museum of War Childhood (MRD) is announcing a competition for the “Lejla Hairlahović-Hušić” scholarship, which is awarded once a year to a candidate in memory of the untimely passing of a MRD researcher. Inspired by Lejla’s belief that education is the foundation of society, the scholarship was established with the aim of supporting researchers.
The scholarship is awarded in cooperation with the "Lejla Hairlahović-Hušić" Foundation.
The value of the scholarship for 2025 is 3,000.00 KM and is awarded once.
The competition is open to doctoral candidates who are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina or foreign citizens who conduct research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and who conduct research in the fields of anthropology, archaeology, psychology, pedagogy, history, sociology, linguistics, literature, philosophy, art history, law, political science, journalism and related fields. In addition to the quality of the application and the explanation of the research, the scoring criterion will also be the extent to which the research can be connected to the area of activity of the Museum of War Childhood.
The contract will specify the submission of evidence of the research carried out. The expenditure of the awarded scholarship funds will not need to be justified.
The decision to award the scholarship is made by an expert jury appointed by the Museum of Wartime Childhood.
