We hereby express our satisfaction and pride that on May 31, 2024, the 10th BDC conference was held in Zenica, organized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica, in cooperation with five co-organizers: the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, the Faculty of Economics, University of Tuzla, the Faculty of Economics, University of Kragujevac, the Faculty of Engineering Technologies, University of Kragujevac, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The conference was financially supported by GIZ as part of the EU4Digital project and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, and organizationally supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Regional Cooperation Council and Deloitte doo Sarajevo.
The conference aimed to promote modern concepts of digital business transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina through current research into the challenges faced by the private sector, as well as representatives of public authorities and businesses, institutions and organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, as well as policies that encourage transformation to the digital economy.
In the plenary part of the conference, in addition to the introductory remarks by the organizers, the speakers presented international experiences in digital business transformation (Delloite doo Sarajevo), the specific co-financing program for digital transformation Go Digital (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and the conceptual digital solutions competition Balkathon 5.0 (Regional Cooperation Council), as well as a presentation on the topic of necessary adjustments in the higher education process adapted to new generations of adults in the digital age, the so-called digital nomads (Prof. Dr. sc. Dženan Kulović).
Twenty papers were presented in the academic part of the conference, which were submitted upon invitation to the conference, reviewed and accepted by the Organizing Committee for publication in the Proceedings. We would like to thank all donors who provided financial support for the conference and the publication of the Proceedings.
The papers of participants of the BDC 2024 Conference are not subject to the obligation to pay a registration fee.
The costs related to the organization of the Conference are borne by the organizer: Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica. This includes registration, printing of registration and promotional material, and Proceedings, as well as a common welcome dinner for all participants on the first day of the Conference.
Only for authorized representatives of co-organizers, and foreign participants whose works will be included in the Conference program, the organizer undertakes to bear the costs of two-day accommodation in the Dubrovnik hotel.
