Course content

  1. Concept and definition of business decision-making
  2. Theory of business decision making
  3. Business decision factors
  4. Stages in the business decision-making process
  5. Techniques and models of business decision-making
  6. Techniques and models of decision-making in crisis situations of companies
  7. Information systems as the basis of business decision-making

Objective of the course

Acquaint students with the systemic approach to making business decisions at all managerial levels.

 

Teaching methods

Lectures are conducted with the use of teaching aids, schemes and graphic displays, as well as active learning techniques and with the active participation of students. In addition, students create seminar papers that are presented and a discussion is held on the subject problem with all students.

Knowledge testing methods

Students who pass the first test during the school year are obliged to pass the second test and the oral exam. The written part of the exam is a prerequisite for the final oral exam. Activities include discussion during class and preparation of a seminar paper (optional).
