  1. Research and research philosophy
  2. Ethics in research
  3. Types of research and selection of methodological approach
  4. Phases of research work and formation of hypotheses
  5. Research design, sample selection and research instruments
  6. Collecting literature, searching databases and library catalogs of the most important databases available on the Internet
  7. Development of a theoretical framework
  8. Defining objectives and research questions
  9. Processing, analysis and presentation of research
  10. Getting to know STATA software
  11. Data processing
  12. Descriptive analyzes (uni- & bivariate)
  13. Statistical inference methods (t-test, prostalinear and multiple linear regression, binary regression)
  14. The use of regression in economic research

Objective of the course

To increase the significant contribution to the quality of professional and scientific works of students and young researchers.

 

Teaching methods

  1. Lectures are conducted with the use of teaching aids, schemes and graphic displays, as well as active learning techniques and with the active participation of students.
  2. During the lectures, problems from various economic problems are analyzed and solved (case studies).
  3. In addition, students create seminar papers that are presented and a discussion is held on the subject problem with all students.
 

Knowledge testing methods

  • Lectures – 5%
  • Test – 20%
  • Seminar paper – 35% 
  • Oral exam – 40%

Mastering research methods necessary for research work, professional work, master's thesis, scientific-professional articles for publication in scientific-professional journals.
