We are proud to point out that the tenth international scientific and professional conference BDC 2024: Digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the countries of the Western Balkans was held. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, and this year we had the honor of collaborating with as many as five co-organizers - the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo, Tuzla and Kragujevac, then the Faculty of Engineering Technologies of the University of Kragujevac, and the ZDK Chamber of Commerce.

We emphasize that the main goal of this year's Conference was to promote modern concepts of digital business transformation through current research into the challenges faced by the private sector, but also representatives of public authorities and business companies, institutions and organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, as well as the policies that encourage transformation to the digital economy.

We use this opportunity to express our special thanks for our financial support from the European Union, GIZ and the Federal Ministry, as well as all the companies that contributed to the organization of the Conference. Special thanks also go to all the co-organizers for their cooperation, with the hope that this successful cooperation will continue in the future. Special thanks to the presenters of the plenary part of the Conference, and to the authors of academic papers, who were gathered in one place by this truly topical topic.
