In the period from 27 to 31.05.2024. The Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, headed by Dean Ajla Muratović-Dedić and ECTS coordinator OJ Nermana Mahmić Muhić, hosted Professor Zekayi Kaya from Cankiri Karatekin University in Turkey as part of the Erasmus+ program. On this occasion, the professor held lectures for students on selected current topics:
- Increased use of the dollar with the Bretton Woods system and the use of the dollar internationally
trade after the Bretton Woods system;
– The meaning and significance of trade in the national currency;
– Definition of national currency and use of national currencies in
trade;
- The effects of the use of the national currency in trade on the economies of countries.

On the last day of his stay in Zenica, the distinguished professor attended the 10th International Scientific and Professional Conference BDC 2024, where he had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the private sector, but also representatives of public authorities and business companies, institutions and organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region that was brought together by a common theme: Digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in the countries of the Western Balkans.

We sincerely hope that Professor Kaya's visit will be just one in a series of Erasmus+ mutual visits with our friends Cankiri Karatekin University in Turkey.
