APPLICATION CONDITIONS

• the candidate plans to be a full-time student in the 1st or 2nd year of the second cycle/in the 4th year or higher of integrated studies (all study groups) at a university in BiH in the academic year 2025/2026 (proof of study is submitted after enrollment in the new academic year);
• active volunteer engagement in Bosnian and Herzegovina society and a grade point average of at least 8.00 or 3.5 (at the time of application, all exams from the beginning of studies, including the first cycle);
• the candidate must not be in an employment relationship, age up to 30 years, citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina; interest in the work of the Foundation, respect for the values that the Foundation stands for, the candidate may not receive a scholarship from another organization.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Candidates send the following documentation in electronic form:

• completed form (please fill in electronically)
• motivation letter (in German or English)
• biography
• certificate of grade point average since the beginning of studies, including the first cycle (certificate of passed exams at the time of application)
• two recommendations no older than 3 months (academic recommendation and recommendation on social engagement).

Proof of enrollment in the academic year 2025/2026. (certificate of enrolled semester, screenshot from the university system) is submitted at the beginning of the academic year 2025/2026. The scholarship includes a financial scholarship in the amount of 320 KM per month for a period of 10 months from the beginning of the academic year 2025/26, as well as an accompanying program for scholarship holders.

Applications must be submitted electronically as ONE document in pdf format to the following e-mail address: sarajevo@kas.de. The deadline for submitting applications is 25.05.2025. Documents submitted in a different format will not be considered. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation reserves the right to request additional documentation at a later date.

Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. Former Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship holders are not eligible to apply.
