
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ mobility program, the Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica had the honor of hosting Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Ongan Arslan and associate Ali Özkesen, MA, from Çankırı Karatekin University from the Republic of Turkey, from 5 to 9 May 2025.
During their visit, the guests were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Jasmin Halebić and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alem Merdić, as representatives of the related fields of Economic Theory and Policy, and the ECTS Coordinator of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Nermana Mahmić Muhić, MA.
Professor Arslan gave lectures to students on current and relevant topics in the field, providing them with valuable insights from international academic practice. At the same time, training and exchange of experiences was organized for doctoral candidate Ali Özkesen, led by Prof. Dr. Jasmin Halebić.
The aim of this academic exchange was to strengthen international cooperation and knowledge exchange between Çankırı Karatekin University and the University of Zenica, with a special focus on improving the quality of higher education through the adoption of innovative teaching methods and the integration of international experiences into the teaching process.
During the guests' stay, new contacts were established with colleagues from Çankırı Karatekin University, opening up opportunities for future joint projects, both academic and socially beneficial in nature.
Students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica had the privilege of participating in lectures by lecturers with rich international experience, which further enriched their educational process and expanded their competences through direct encounters with different academic perspectives.
Such forms of cooperation represent a significant contribution to the process of internationalization of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to strengthening capacities for inter-university exchange of knowledge and experiences.
